I've been trying to Install the Catalyst Drivers for ATI MOBILITY Radeon 7500 video card on my compaq evo n800c laptop but have had no luck. I do not know how to instal these drivers, currently I have the 2003 original driver and am in need of step by step help of installation of this driver...
I've checked every site for installation help, and I'm not sure if these are the right drivers, no Mobility Radeon 7500 drivers on the ATI/AMD site.
If any of you know or yourself can post the link of the drivers for this card and how to install them I wold be grateful, been trying to do this for about 4 months now
If you need X-fire: Jassi1 msn:PM for this

Ok I looked around for ya and this is what I found hopefully it will work for you like it did them.
Code:| latest Drivers with DH Mod tool: Driver Heaven makes a tool, however, that modifies the latest ATI drivers so they'll work with mobility cards. This is called DH Mod Tool V4 (http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/). You download the ATI drivers, install them, wait for the installation to apparently fail, then run the DH Mod Tool. It works really well, and the driver installed fine. But after a while I started having a problem with a file called 'ati3d1ag.dll'. The computer would bluescreen when running a game called Battlefield 1942. I tired to run the game a few times to see if this was a random event, but it did it every time. More troublingly, the crashes seemed to destabilise the system. I got bluescreens all over the place. Eventually I reluctantly surrendered the official ATI drivers and looked for an alternative. |
|
Then he says this : Code:After much investigation, I've discovered that the driver Catalyst 6.2 seems to work well with this graphics card.
You can download it here:
http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/x...-cat62-xp.html
You'll want the 'display driver' link.
You need to use the DH Mod tool, as described above. You'll also need to look out for a file called ati3duag.dll. When you uninstall whatever driver you have installed at the moment, search for this file and delete it before you install the new driver. I found that the uninstall failed to clean it out properly and it caused problems for me. Installing the new driver put a properly working copy in place. |
|
Now both his links don't work either they are old or he did them wrong so what I suggest is to find the correct driver for you at ati prob the one he talks about or similar and then use this link http://www.driverheaven.net/driverheaven....sed-win-xp.html (you click on the "Get it HERE!" on that page to get the DH Mod Tool V4 that he talks about.)
Hope that helps ya.

Yeah I had the modder before, just didn't know how to put it into use. Where do I install the drivers though? After I dl them, put in Program Files, and run them it says choose a place to extract files. And after the Installation starts sometimes it says "Driver not found, try using a standard VGA blah blah"

KK, So after the installation fails and says no Compatable driver and configuration found I ran the modder and modded they Catlyst installating files. Now when I try installing it, it works but says "The software you are installing for this hardware:Ati Mobility Radeon 7500 has not passed windows logo testing to veryfy its compatability witn Windows XP"
But it says I can continue if I want, thanks for your help alot. If I need more, i'l make sure to get back to you here.
*//Edit//
After the installation on my Driver Prperties for my Card it reads
"Driver Provder: Ati Technologies" "Driver Date: 2/25/2009" "Driver Version: 8.591.0." (Note: Before installation it was 6.14.0.343 something like that) "Digital Signer: Not digitally signed"
(Old driver was signed, but i've heard this occurs with lots of Mobility radeon 7500 users cause Ati doesn't provide direct Mobility Radeon 7500 Drives)
